The plate that looks engraved
Bold raised letters and a thin raised rim in a second colour, over a dark plate: the look of a brass-on-black engraved plate that offices order for directors and doctors. The plate leans back a little on a stand behind it, so the front is all name.
The name and the job title each have their own size. Set the rim right at the edge, or move it in for a framed look.
Printing tips
- Print it standing, as designed. The stand is the only part on the bed besides the plate's bottom edge, so use a brim if your bed is not perfectly level.
- Gold or silver silk filament for the letters and rim on black or navy gives the engraved-brass look.
Selling tips
Sell it with the office door sign and a staff name badge in the same colours, as a set for a new manager or a clinic's doctors.
Questions about the executive name plate
How does it stand up?
A thin floor plate with three ribs runs back from the plate, so it leans back 12 degrees and cannot tip forwards. You can change the lean from upright to 25 degrees, and how far the stand reaches back, in All options.
Does it print in one piece?
Yes, standing up as designed, with no supports. The plate and stand are one colour; the letters and rim are the second.
How big is it?
50 mm tall, and as wide as the longest line needs, at least 120 mm. Long names shrink to keep the plate on the print bed.
