Swap wall mount for signs and key holders

A small bar that goes on the wall once. Door signs, room signs, plaques and key holders stick to it with magnets or slide onto its studs, so a new sign replaces an old one with no new holes or tape.

Why sellers like it

  • Fits every wall design: office door signs, meeting room signs, sign plates, door name plaques and key holders
  • Magnets for signs that pull straight off, studs for a firmer hold and for key holders
  • Two countersunk screws, or a flat back for double-sided tape
  • Hidden behind the sign, 76 by 14 mm

One bar on the wall, any sign on it

The swap wall mount is a small bar that goes on the wall once. Signs made with a swap mount stick to it or slide onto it, so changing a name means printing just the new sign: no new holes in the door, no tape to scrape off, and no wasted mounting hardware.

All wall designs share the same spacing, so a door sign can later be replaced by a different design, size or shape and it still fits the bar.

Printing tips

  • Print it flat, back down. The studs print upright with a 45 degree underside, so no supports are needed.
  • Mark the bar's position level: the sign hangs centred on it.

Selling tips

Include one bar with every first wall sign, and sell later signs on their own. For offices that change staff often, this is the easiest reorder there is.

Questions about the swap wall mount

Which signs fit it?

Every wall design made with a swap mount: the office door sign, meeting room sign, sign plate, door name plaques and the key holder. Their magnets or slots sit 60 mm apart, the same as the bar's, whatever the size of the sign.

Magnets or studs?

Match the mount chosen on the sign. Magnets are quickest to swap and suit light signs. Studs hold the sign mechanically: the sign drops over them and slides down 8 mm. Use studs for key holders and outdoor doors.

Which magnets does it take?

Round neodymium magnets 10 mm across and 2 mm thick, two in the bar and two in each sign. Glue them in so the bar's and the sign's attract.

Why use it?

When a sign changes, because someone joins, leaves or a room is renamed, only the new sign is printed. The bar, the holes and the tape stay, and the old sign is the only thing replaced.
